FTR is Seeking Persons to Fill the Following Positions

Sign-up Crew Manager: 

Responsibilities - Manage pre-entry and event sign-up, bring / set-up / run / take-down sign-up trailer to each event. Print out scores for each race for posting by club. Verify entries and waivers. Hire & manage sign-up crew members 5 hours each per race weekend. Work time – 4 pm Friday to 5 pm Sunday.

HS Scorekeeper:

Responsibilities – Bring the scoring trailer to each event, set up scoring chicane, score each race, either print the scores at the scoring trailer or give scores to the sign-up trailer to print, take down scoring chicane, answer protests, post scores online, promotions, post overalls. This position will be the person in charge of all positions and be responsible for making sure all are covered for the race weekend and all equipment is in good working order. Work time – 4 pm Friday to 5 pm Sunday. (See Additional Duties below).

PW Scorekeeper (2nd Assistant):

Responsibilities – Bring the PW equipment to each event, set up PW chicane, score PW race, take down chicane, either print scores themself or hand them off to sign up trailer to print. This position does not require a trailer for transporting equipment. Equipment is minimal and can be transported by this person (motorhome or camper). Work time – 7 am Saturday to 1 pm Saturday. THIS POSITION IS A GREAT ONE FOR A SUNDAY RACER. THEY CAN SCORE ON SATURDAY AND RACE ON SUNDAY.

Assistant:

Assist scoring with any/all duties needing help, from Pee Wee’s thru Sunday PM race. Work time: Saturday 7 a.m. thru Sunday 4:00 p.m.

Additional Details:

These positions are currently staffed, but at least some of the current personnel will retire by December 2028. Applicants would be expected to participate in a paid on-the-job trial / training period. All positions are Independent Contractor positions (not FTR employees). Compensation is negotiable, but is expected to be comparable to current amounts.

ADDITIONAL SCOREKEEPER DUTIES:

1. SET UP PRE ENTRY PROGRAM AT START OF THE SEASON.
2. MAINTAIN PRE ENTRY THRU OUT SEASON. MONITOR AND DEAL WITH ISSUES DURING PRE ENTRY PHASE.
3. MANAGE FTR PAYPAL ACCOUNT. (TRANSFER FUNDS UPON REQUEST FROM BM. ISSUE RACER REFUNDS WHEN NEEDED. DEAL WITH RACER ISSUES AT SIGNUP).
4. MAINTAIN INTERNET(STARLINK) FOR BUSINESS USE AND LIVE SCORING.
5. ENSURE SIGNUP AND SCORING TRAILERS MAKE IT TO EACH RACE.
6. ENSURE SIGNUP AND SCORING COMPUTERS ARE WORKING PROPERLY. PREVENTIVE MAINTANENCE DONE REGULARLY.
7. MAINTAIN A POSITIVE WORKING RELATION WITH FTR IT(RICHARD BEASLEY). RICK HAS KEPT OUR COMPUTERS RUNNING WITH GREAT PROFFESIONALISM.
8. KEEP TRAILER MAINTENANCE UP. (TIRES, WHEEL BEARINGS, ETC)
9. KEEP SERVICE UP ON ALL GENERATORS. CURRENTL EVERY 3 RACES

(150 HRS). CURRENTLY 5 GENERATORS.

1. KEEP RADIOS AND REPEATERS PROPERLY SERVICED, USUALLY DURING SUMMER BREAK.
2. PRINT RACE RESULTS FOR THE CLUB TO POST AT EVENTS.
3. POST RACE RESULTS TO INTERNET AFTER VERIFYING ACCURACY, USUALLY SUNDAY LATE OR MONDAY.
4. MAINTAIN ADVANCEMENT POINTS EVERY RACE AND ISSUE PROMOTION LETTERS AS NEEDED.
5. MAINTAIN TEAM SCORES AND SEASON RESULTS. THIS POSITION AND # 13 ARE A MANUAL PROCESS AND TAKES A FEW HOURS TO COMPLETE. BUT WILL GET EASIER AFTER 1/1/2027 WHEN AMA TAKES OVER ADULT PROMOTIONS. SCORE KEEPER WILL ONLY DO PEE WEE CLASSES TO JUNIOR CLASSES, PLUS PRE MOD B/C, ELECTRIC B/C AND QUAD B OPEN AND QUAD C OPEN.
6. DELIVER SIGN UP TRAILER AND RADIOS IN WORKING ORDER TO ALL IN-STATE ENDUROS. SET UP, ISSUE RADIOS AND BREAK DOWN. CURRENTLY PAYS $400 PER EVENT, $200 BY CLUB, $200 BY FTR.
7. ARROWS AND OTHER SUPPLIES NEEDED BY CLUBS FOR WEVENTS ARE STORED IN SCORING TRAILER. MUST MAINTAIN ADDEQUATE SUPPLIES.
8. MAINTAIN FRIDAY NIGHT SIGNUP 5:30-7:30 PM.
